CSUN Heads East for Softball Tournament
Top-ranked Cal State Northridge will play Central Missouri State on Saturday in the first round of the NCAA Division II softball regional playoffs. But the game won’t be in this region, or even one in the general vicinity.
Northridge (49-3), the defending national champion, was sent to the North East regional in Fairfield, Conn.
Cal State Bakersfield, which finished second behind Northridge in the California Collegiate Athletic Assn., is the host team in the West regional beginning Saturday. Chapman and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, which finished third and fourth in the CCAA, are also in the West regional, along with Cal State Sacramento.
