Lary R. Scott has been named president and chief executive of Consolidated Freightways Inc., Palo Alto. Scott, 51, who previously served as president and chief operating officer, succeeds Raymond F. O’Brien as chief executive. O’Brien, 65, has been reelected chairman. Donald E. Moffitt, vice chairman, has retired.
