The Brunton Corp. forfeited 954,403 Cousins Home Furnishings common shares to Security Pacific National Bank when it failed to pay interest on a 1984 promissory note, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Brunton, based in Riverton, Wyo., said it now controls about 5.69 million common shares, or 48.7%, of the San Diego-based seller of furniture and appliances.
