Junio Accepts Offer From Cal State L. A.
Millie Junio, a Times’ All-Valley guard from Alemany High, has accepted a three-quarters scholarship to attend Cal State Los Angeles.
Junio, who averaged nine points and five assists a game and was named the most valuable player in the San Fernando Valley League, said she considered walking on at either Loyola Marymount, Arizona or Arizona State before deciding on CSLA.
“It’s a good school for me to play with,†Junio said. “I really like the way they play and the coaches are really nice.â€
