College Roundup : Fullerton Sweeps San Diego State

Cal State Fullerton swept a doubleheader from San Diego State, 6-3 and 5-1, Thursday night in Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. softball at Fullerton.

In the first game, Fullerton (48-14, 21-7) was led by Valerie Van Kirk and Missy Coombes, who each drove in two runs. In the second game, Janis Okerlund (13-3) threw a four-hitter for the victory.

In California Collegiate Athletic Conference baseball:

Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 3, Chapman 2--Host Cal Poly scored two runs with two outs in the eighth for the victory.

In the Golden State Athletic Conference:

Southern California College 10-4, Christ College Irvine 3-1--In the first game, Kevin Casper went 2 for 3 with two RBIs for host Southern California (22-23, 14-8). In the second game, Josh Johnson threw a six-hitter for SCC.
