The frontier between China and Afghanistan, Pakistan and the Soviet Union will be discussed in an illustrated lecture, “Life Along the Silk Road: The Islamic Frontier of China,” by writer and explorer How Man Wong for the China Exploration & Research Society, 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the auditorium of Horace Mann School, 8701 Charleville St., Beverly Hills.
