Stock brokers say activity on Wall Street is picking up and that trading volume is less than 10% below levels of that prior to the October stock market crash. But they are still nervous. “We have not fully rebounded from the slow volume that hit us at the end of last year,†said Jeff Schaefer, senior vice president of the Securities Industry Assn. And small investors are still skittish, said Maurice Mann, chairman of the Pacific Stock Exchange, because “we have not fully identified what went wrong in October.â€
