Real and Imagined

Travel is my favorite section of your Sunday newspaper. After the front news page, that’s the section I turn to (maybe for daydreaming--a little mind traveling). Once in a while I’ll read an article that, while good, leaves me to add a little of my own imagining between the words. Your staff writer, Earl Gustkey, wrote an article “New Life for an Old Ranch” that guided me through such vivid images. Anything I could have added would only have dulled them. You have read many times, no doubt, readers’ letters that begin: “I have never written to a newspaper before but . . . “ Well, I’m another of those readers, and I just wanted to register my vote for Mr. Gustkey as tops!
