Woman Earns Customs Position

CALEXICO — Elizabeth Hutcheson has been appointed director of the U.S. Customs station here, becoming the first woman to achieve port director’s rank in the Customs’ San Diego district, which includes Imperial County.
Hutcheson began working for the agency in 1974 as a documents examiner, Customs officials said in a statement.
