Metro Rail
I just have to laugh at the mess Los Angeles has gotten itself into with the Metro Rail project (Part I, March 30). Thirty years ago Los Angeles had over 1,000 miles of transit rail service, only to be ripped out by short-sighted politicians and auto makers. Now Los Angeles is spending over $1 billion on what is probably the world’s shortest, and most problem-prone subway.
Now I ask you, is this subway going to solve any of Los Angeles’ traffic problems? In my opinion, Los Angeles gets what it deserves!
