Sentencing in a North Carolina federal court was postponed Monday for Los Angeles rock manager Doc McGhee--convicted of aiding in the smuggling of nearly 20 tons of Colombian marijuana into the United States in 1982. McGhee, who manages the groups Bon Jovi and Motley Crue, could face five years in prison. U.S. District Judge Earl Britt requested more details about the defendant’s proposal to organize a national anti-drug campaign in lieu of a prison term. Britt is expected to rule on the case April 18.
