Tropicana Products Inc. has obtained a court order in an attempt to ensure that Minute Maid, its top citrus juice competitor, doesn’t learn trade secrets from an engineer who switched companies. In court documents Tropicana claims that Richard A. Hamilton left in late March after 3 1/2-years’ employment, expressing an “intense dislike of Tropicana†and vowing to “get†the company. Hamilton began work last week with Minute Maid, a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Foods, Alice Brink, a spokeswoman at Coca-Cola Foods in Houston, said. Tropicana is considered leader in the rapidly growing market for ready-to-serve citrus juices, with Minute Maid second.
