Ex-Banker Afflicted by AIDS Admits Theft

DALLAS — A former banker who went on a spending spree with funds from his thrift association after learning he has AIDS has pleaded guilty to misappropriating more than $1 million.
William Patrick Debenport, 27, faces up to 15 years in prison and $3,000 in fines at his sentencing on May 5.
