. . . Disney’s just registered with the MPAA the titles “Ernest and the Voodoo King,” “Ernest Goes Bad” and “Ernest Goes to Jail.” Whew.
. . . Ever wonder what’s in those “Anti-Pornographic Certifications” that the U.S. government requires of videotapes entering this country? An excerpt from one we came by: “I/We declare that the film contains no obscene or immoral matter/nor any matter advocating or urging treason or insurrection against the United States,” etc. This one came with a tape of that revolutionary operetta “The Merry Widow”--performed by those radical zanies . . . the National Ballet of Canada!
