Local News in Brief : Anaheim : Disney Fires Another Unshorn Hotel Worker
Another Disneyland Hotel worker was fired Thursday for defying orders to shave his mustache in compliance with a strict new grooming policy, hotel spokesman Bob Roth said.
Bartender Jack Chamberlain, 28, a two-year employee of the hotel who wears a mustache, became the third employee fired for refusing to comply with the appearance rules, imposed after the Walt Disney Co. bought the hotel in January.
Neither Chamberlain nor union officials could be reached for comment Thursday.
Another bartender, Ronnie LaChapelle, 35, a seven-year hotel employee, who has been suspended for refusing to shave his beard and mustache, faces firing today.
