Prayer Healing and Girl’s Death

In response to the article concerning the Christian Scientist whose daughter died from acute bacterial meningitis, my own daughter had an interesting notion this practitioner might want to consider. “If your child is sick, say your prayers and wait a day to see if she gets better. If she gets worse, see if the doctors can help. If there is nothing the doctors can do, say your prayers again.”

This is the somewhat ironic opinion of a 7 year old who underwent open heart surgery at the tender age of 6 months.

She is now living a healthy and beautiful life thanks to the countless prayers that were said on her behalf. One must also recognize and give great thanks to the hands and incredible heart of the surgeon who executed God’s own blessing to extend her tiny life.
