Firms Plan Joint Venture Complex in San Diego

Newport National Corp., Carlsbad, and Hillman Properties, in a joint venture, have purchased two sites totaling 23.7 acres in the Mira Mesa area of San Diego for construction of Sorrento Towers.
Construction is expected to start in October on the $175-million, four-building project that will have about 830,000 square feet, according to John Alstrom of Hillman Properties.
