Perfect Vacation

Thank you so much for Jerry Hulse’s article, “Winter in New England” (Nov. 1, 1987), which recommends the Governor’s Inn in Ludlow, Vt. We stayed there from Feb. 29 through March 4 and had a wonderful time. There was snow outside and a definite nip in the air.
But inside there was only warmth--in that wonderful fireplace and in the loving care from Charlie Marble, his wife, Deedy, and their staff. The food lived up to and exceeded all expectations. It was the perfect place to have a first vacation together in eight years.
