Largemouth Bass Reaching Record Size

The spring largemouth bass bite is on, and as water temperatures slowly rise, so do the sizes of the fish. Fishermen at many reservoirs are catching lunkers in the 10-pound range, some much bigger.
Dave Clark of Chino broke the record at Riverside County’s Vail Lake with his 18-pound 1-ounce largemouth, and Monterey Park resident Marvin Barellano set a record at Lake Cachuma in Santa Barbara County with a bass weighing 16 pounds 7 ounces.
