An unidentified Latino man believed to be in his mid-20s was stabbed to death Thursday in downtown San Diego near the trolley line, police reported.
The stabbing occurred about 4:30 p.m. on 12th Avenue, between G and F streets, police said. The trolley runs down 12th Avenue. Officers found that the man, who was lying in the street, had been stabbed several times.
He was taken to the UC San Diego Medical Center, where he died in surgery at 5:28 p.m.
Police said they have no suspects in the case.
