Local News in Brief : Westminster : Allen A. Pace Named to Fill Council Vacancy

Businessman Allen A. Pace was selected by the City Council Tuesday to fill a vacancy caused by the death of Mayor Elden F. Gillespie.
Pace, a 60-year-old real estate broker, will fill the council seat of Chuck Smith, who recently was appointed mayor.
Gillespie died Feb. 6 after a long illness.
Pace, who is a former president of the Chamber of Commerce and a member of the city’s redevelopment committee, would face election for a full-term in November.
