QUANTICO, Va. — A small civilian airplane crashed Sunday on Quantico Marine Base as it was trying to fly out of a snowstorm, killing all three people on board, authorities said.
Nobody on the ground was injured, officials said. The pilot of the plane, en route to Washington National Airport, radioed an air traffic control center at Leesburg for directions out of the storm shortly before the plane crashed.
