San Marino : Park to Open on Saturdays

Lacy Park will be open every Saturday beginning July 2. The City Council last week approved opening the park on Saturdays at no cost to San Marino residents and $3 for non-residents.
The city’s only park, which was closed on weekends 10 years ago when maintenance became too expensive in the wake of Proposition 13, is open free to the public on weekdays. It has recently been open on the third Saturday of each month, at no cost to residents and $3 for non-residents.
The park will be open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. May through October and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. November through April. Council members said they hope to eventually open the park on Sundays.
