Braniff reported a loss of $12.2 million for fiscal 1988, compared to a $9-million loss the previous year. Operating revenue totaled $297.4 million, up 24% from 1987. The Dallas-based airline attributed the results to competitive pressures, coupled with start-up costs and losses associated with a major expansion into Florida.
