JERUSALEM — Four West Bank Arabs were killed today, bringing the total to 100 Palestinians slain since battles with Israeli soldiers began in the West Bank and Gaza Strip on Dec. 8.
Hundreds of Palestinians built roadblocks, set tires ablaze and hurled stones at soldiers, who responded with tear gas, rubber bullets and live ammunition. Army and news reports said three Palestinians were killed near Tulkarm--a 60-year-old man who died after soldiers threw tear gas into his home, and a teen-ager and 23-year-old man both killed by gunfire. Soldiers also shot a 25-year-old man to death in the village of Yabad, hospital officials said.
