Ninety-nine men have been arrested for soliciting sex from prostitutes working the streets near Disneyland during the first two weeks of March, police announced Tuesday.
Lt. Jack Parra said 53 women also were arrested for prostitution during the undercover operation, which centered on Harbor Boulevard, between Katella Avenue and Wilken Way.
In addition, two men were arrested for pimping and pandering and two others for selling drugs, Parra said. Police reportedly seized $3,000 as evidence.
Parra said the operation was one of several periodic sweeps of the Disneyland area, where prostitutes ply their trade.
He said most of those arrested were from outside Orange County.
