A public meeting to review the proposed Eastern Transportation Corridor linking the Riverside and Santa Ana freeways through the canyons north of Tustin and El Toro is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at Columbus Tustin School.
The meeting will cover the recently released environmental impact report, which analyzes several alternatives involving the proposed highway of 12 to 23 miles in length and with four to 10 general traffic lanes, in addition to two transit vehicle or car pool lanes.
Originally proposed as a freeway, county transportation officials are now considering whether to make it a toll road.
The environmental impact report is being distributed for purposes of public comment. The period for such comment ends on March 21.
The school is at 17952 Beneta Way.
