Top Gymnastics Teams to Compete at Fullerton

Three of the best women’s gymnastics teams in the country will compete in the A’Sante Women’s Gymnastics Invitational tonight at Cal State Fullerton.
Five-time National Collegiate Athletic Assn. champion Utah, ranked fifth in the country, 12th-ranked Washington and 13th-ranked Fullerton make up a field that will feature some of the country’s top individual performers.
Utah’s score of 190.75 against Arizona State earlier this season is the highest mark in the nation this year. The Lady Utes (11-2) are led by freshman all-around gymnasts Jessica Smith and Patti Massoels.
Cal State Fullerton (7-6) also is enjoying success behind the performances of several freshmen, particularly Lisa Dolan and Stacey Harris, both all-around performers.
