ITT Chairman Rand V. Araskog predicted higher operating earnings in 1988 on a 10% to 12% rise in revenue. In 1987, ITT’s income from continuing operations reached a record $1.09 billion, up from $528 million a year earlier. Araskog also told a meeting of securities analysts in New York that ITT Corp.’s management is discussing extending its 10-million common share repurchase plan to include an additional 5 million shares.
