The British government Tuesday formally withdrew its objections to “My Country: Right or Wrong,” a British Broadcasting Corp. radio program about the conflicts between state secrecy and freedom of information that included interviews with intelligence officials. In December, the government won a court order barring broadcast of the first segment in the three-part series, arguing that it could harm national security. Publicly funded BBC said the series portrays the work of Britain’s intelligence agencies and did not reveal anything an enemy could not already know. The government withdrew its objections to the program after its lawyers received a transcript of it from the BBC, the company said. The second and third programs have yet to be recorded.
