Local News in Brief : Landlord Sues Post Office
- Share via
A property investment firm filed suit in federal court Monday against the U.S. Postal Service, threatening to evict the Reseda post office for non-payment of one month’s rent.
Realty Investments Inc., the Century City firm that owns the office space leased to the Reseda post office, said in a U.S. District Court lawsuit that the Postal Service has failed to pay its $3,454 rent for January.
The investment firm said it served notice on the Postal Service Feb. 8 that it had to pay the rent or vacate the one-story brick building at 7320 Reseda Blvd. in three days, but the rent was not paid.
A manager at the Reseda post office referred questions on the matter to a Postal Service spokesman, but he could not be reached for comment.
