Continental Airlines is seeking to open a hub in West Berlin. An application has been filed with air attaches in West Berlin for permission to serve several West German cities, including Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Cologne and Dusseldorf, and begin flights to London and Paris, said C. W. (Pete) Runnette, vice president of Continental’s international division. The proposal is expected to be acted on in several months, the Houston Chronicle reported. Under an agreement signed at the close of World War II, only American, French and British airlines can land in West Berlin.
