Three big names in jazz--clarinetist Pete Fountain, trumpeter Al Hirt and pianist Ronnie Cole--have come to the aid of currently defunct New Orleans Symphony orchestra. The trio will headline two pops concerts March 23-24 to raise money to revive the symphony, which folded in January because of financial problems. The pops orchestra will be assembled from players in the symphony.
