Resdel Industries reported that earnings fell to $107,000 during its fiscal second quarter, down from $452,000 for that period a year earlier. The Newport Beach company attributed the decline to losses generated by Sanbar Corp., a telecommunications company Sanbar acquired in September, 1987. Sales totaled $6.7 million for the three months ended Dec. 31, a 47% increase from $4.6 million for that quarter a year earlier. Net income for the first half of its fiscal 1988 was $110,000, contrasted with $875,000 in fiscal 1987. First-half sales were $10.6 million, a 32% increase from $8 million for the first half of the previous year. The second-quarter results also show a $1.3-million revenue gain from the sale of Sanbar’s telephone repair division in Garland, Tex.
