3 Women Officers
Three female officers have joined the Hermosa Beach Police Department. Officers Michele Derks, Bonnie Kendall and Nancy Cook were introduced at last week’s City Council meeting. All have previous law enforcement experience.
There have been no female officers in the department since 1985. Previously, three other women have served there. With the newcomers, the department will have 35 sworn officers.
