Jordan resumed a long-stalled political dialogue with the Palestine Liberation Organization, the official Jordanian news agency Petra announced. It said Prime Minister Zaid Rifai began talks in Amman with a PLO delegation led by Executive Committee member Mahmoud Abbas. The talks, agreed to by PLO leader Yasser Arafat and Jordan’s King Hussein at an Arab League summit last November, have been postponed several times without explanation.
