- First the Old Globe presented “A Comedy of Errors.� Now it has another identical twin story on tap--but it’s not only modern, it’s absolutely new.

“The Goldberg Variations,� by novelist, playwright and screenwriter Laird Koenig, will be the first prepared reading of the Old Globe’s Play Discovery Program this season. Koenig’s story about identical twin brothers, united after World War II for the first time since childhood, will be presented Monday at the Cassius Carter Centre Stage at 7:30 p.m.
