Local News in Brief : Vaccine Volunteers
Doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles are looking for 50 adults and 300 children to participate in tests of the world’s first chicken pox vaccine.
Cedars is one of seven medical institutions nationwide participating in tests designed to prove the safety and effectiveness of the experimental vaccine, which was developed six years ago by a doctor in Japan. The program, coordinated by Dr. Philip Brunel, is scheduled to begin in mid-February.
