The son of former Democratic vice presidential candidate Geraldine A. Ferraro testified that Jennifer Levin was sober, “upbeat and friendly” hours before she was killed in Central Park. John Zaccaro Jr., 23, testified he was working as a part-time bartender at Dorrian’s, a prep school hangout on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, in the summer of 1986 and was acquainted with both Levin and her accused killer, Robert Chambers. Zaccaro testified as a prosecution witness in the trial of the 21-year-old Chambers who is charged with strangling Levin, 18, on Aug. 26, 1986. Chambers admits killing Levin but claims he accidentally choked her during rough sex.
