Kenyan Runner Wins in Spain

ELGOIBAR, Spain — Kenya’s John Ngugi won the 45th Juan Muguerza memorial cross country race ahead of countryman Paul Kipkoech.
Ngugi covered the 6.19 miles in 29 minutes, 16 seconds. Kipkoech finished second in 29:20 and Eamonn Martin of Britain was third in 29:43.
A crowd of 5,000 saw the race in rainy and cold weather.
