Homeless Advocate Faces Detached Retina Surgery

WASHINGTON — Homeless advocate Mitch Snyder was admitted Sunday to the Washington Hospital Center where he will undergo surgery for a detached retina, a spokeswoman said. The surgery is related to an eye injury Snyder suffered during a fast six years ago, said a spokeswoman for Snyder’s group, the Community for Creative Non-Violence.
