Olympic League Basketball Roundup : Capistrano Valley Christian Wins in 2 Overtimes

Center Kirk Riddle scored 17 points, including 4 in the second overtime, to lead Capistrano Valley Christian High School to a 59-53 double overtime victory over Ontario Christian Friday night at Capistrano Valley Christian.
Point guard Chris Phillips added 19 points for Capistrano Valley, which was outscored, 11-5, in the fourth quarter to force the first overtime.
Ontario Christian scored first in the overtime, but Brian Jacobson’s basket with 1:15 left tied it, 51-51. Neither team scored after that, and the teams went to a second overtime.
Scott De Bie led Ontario Christian with 19 points.
Capistrano Valley Christian is 7-6 and 2-2.
Whittier Christian 98, Southern California Christian 55--Erik Martin and Scott Ferguson each scored 20 points for host Whittier Christian. Kenny Cross had 19 for Southern California Christian (0-3 in league).
Whittier Christian (10-4, 3-0) jumped to a 25-2 first-quarter lead.
Orange Lutheran 49, Valley Christian 46--Daryle Cole made 3 of 4 free throws down the stretch to clinch the victory at Valley Christian. Kelly Black led Orange Lutheran (7-6, 2-2) with 13 points.
Pat Bagatourian scored 12 points for Orange Lutheran.
