THE PREPS : Busalacchi Says He Will Sign With Stanford

Frank Busalacchi, a 6-foot 6-inch, 252-pound defensive tackle from Foothill High School, has made an oral commitment to attend Stanford University in the fall.
Busalacchi had scheduled a visit to Stanford this weekend, but according to his coach, Jerry Howell, made a commitment on Wednesday night after talking with Cardinal Coach Jack Elway. Busalacchi also canceled trips to California and USC.
“Frank went on his own with a couple of the players last summer and visited Stanford, Cal, UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo,” Howell said. “Stanford was always his top choice.”
Busalacchi has maintained a 3.6 grade-point average. The first day a player can sign a national letter of intent is Feb. 10.
