F-16 Crash Kills Pilot

MADRID — A U.S. Air Force pilot died in the crash of an F-16 fighter in Spain, the U.S. Embassy said Thursday. The plane crashed southeast of Madrid on Wednesday. The pilot was identified as Lt. Col. David Shontz Jr., 39, from Peace Dale, R.I.
