Digital Equipment Corp.’s earnings rose 22% to $329.5 million for the second quarter ended Dec. 26, compared to the year-earlier quarter. Operating revenue totaled $2.78 billion, up 22% from the 1986 quarter. The Maynard, Mass., company said the results reflect the continued broad appeal of its MicroVAX and VAXstation products and the introduction of a new line of computer network integration products.
