- United States International University’s International Company is planning a benefit performance of its own for Saturday at The Theatre in Old Town. Proceeds from this song, dance and comedy revue (aptly titled “London Boundâ€) will pay for 25 students from the university’s School of Performing and Visual Arts to travel to USIU’s London campus in April.
Under the direction of Jack Tygett, associate producer of the International Company and head of musical theater at USIU, “London Bound†will feature “numbers from past, present and future Theatre in Old Town showsâ€--from Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Pirates of Penzance†to selections from London’s hot new rock musical, “Phantom of the Opera.â€
