Think Entertainment, a joint venture between actress Shelley Duvall and four cable TV companies, became official this week. Duvall’s company will develop, finance, produce and distribute original programming exclusively for the cable market. Duvall said Monday she will serve as chief executive officer and chairman, with financing provided by United Cable, Tele-Communications Inc., United Artists Communications and Newhouse Broadcasting. Duvall was selected to head the new project after the overwhelming success of “Faerie Tale Theatre,” one of the first original cable programming ventures in 1982 that aired on Showtime and will debut on commercial TV via syndication this year.
