Haig Leaves Hospital After Allergy Treatment

FAIRFAX, Va. — Former Secretary of State Alexander M. Haig Jr. was released from the hospital early today after an overnight stay for treatment of an allergic reaction to drugs he had taken for a tooth problem.
“They gave him a clean bill of health,†said Fairfax Hospital spokesman Lon Walls. Haig, 63, a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, then left for a weekend vacation in Florida.
