SAN JOSE — A cousin of the alleged “Ski Mask Rapist” has been arrested and charged with five felony counts for joining him in the rape and robbery of a woman last May, a prosecutor said on Thursday.
Antonio Rodriguez was charged on Wednesday with forcible rape, sodomy and oral copulation, plus robbery and burglary, said supervising Deputy Dist. Atty. Alan Nudelman.
Rodriguez was arrested Monday, but on Wednesday San Jose Police Chief Joseph McNamara refused to comment when asked whether there was evidence that another man had participated in the sexual assaults linked to alleged Ski Mask Rapist George Anthony Sanchez.
Details about Rodriguez’s arrest were kept secret to protect the investigation of the case, Nudelman said.
Sanchez, 26, also was charged Wednesday in the attack linked to his cousin, adding five counts to the 101 already filed against him in the string of rapes, burglaries and robberies.
