Forty years of Goofy and Pluto, Minnie and Mickey, Snow White, Bambi and Winnie-the-Pooh are chronicled in the book “Too Funny for Words! Disney’s Greatest Sight Gags.†The book is by animators Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnson, who completed four decades at Walt Disney’s legendary cartoon animation studio.
Thomas and Johnson, who retired from Disney in 1978, will sign copies of their book at a reception from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Circle Gallery, 2501 San Diego Ave., in Old Town. Thomas and Johnson’s visit is associated with an animated exhibit of Disney cartoon cels that runs through Dec. 31 at the gallery.
